About Me
Ann P. Blackwell, Ph.D., worked in the field of higher education for over 30 years, primarily as a teacher educator. She earned the rank of full professor in Child and Family Studies and provided academic leadership through administrative roles as well. She served as chair of the Department of Child and Family Studies and dean of the College of Education and Psychology. As a passionate advocate for children, she devoted a great deal of her time to parenting education. She won numerous awards for teaching and research and regularly responded to invitations to speak on the topics of parenting and teaching. Dr. Blackwell is recently retired but remains committed to both teacher and parent education. Through the use of social media, she continues to encourage and equip both teachers and parents to enjoy and excel in their respective roles.
